Ethical code of the Vojvodina Movement
Starting
from the humanistic contents and undoubtedly moral essence of its basic
orientation which are: piece, political pluralism, parliametarialism, modern
democracy, rule of law, decentralized state with developed autonomies, local
and regional self-management, full autonomy of the Vojvodina within the
mutual state, national equality, market economy, including our country into
the international and economic organization and equal co-operation with
other countries; Article 1
The Vojvodina Movement obliges all of its members to obey
and practice the principle that everyone's policy, as well as the art
of life in a community has to be based on moral principles, be valued
and controlled by them.
Article 2
The Vojvodina Movement understands moral behaviour as respecting
human dignity, developing humanity within oneself and in relations with
others.
Article 3
The Vojvodina Movement connects political responsibility
both to the moralities of political aims and means necessary to achieve
them. It obliges people to a full and consistent moral co-ordination of
political aspirations and means, words and actions, proclaimed principles
and practical political behaviour.
Article 4
Political aims which support the self-determination
of a man and not domination over others are what is moral for the Vojvodina
Movement.
Article 5
For the Vojvodina Movement it is moral to feel, and constantly
foresee social consequences of their actions and bear full responsibility
for them.
Article 6
All the cases where a person in power and politics abuses
his position for the sake of ones acquisition of wealth are considered
to be one of the most severe forms of separating politics and moral by
the Vojvodina Movement
Article 7
Vojvodina Movement acts openly in all the domains of the
political and social practice, in legal institutions, both in the parliament
and out of it.
Article 8
Vojvodina Movement interprets all events and appearances
comprehensively and truly, using only truth and arguments when analyzing
programmes and behaviour of the Movement and other parties.
Article 9
The Vojvodina Movement has no enemies. It has only members,
adherents, sympathizers, people of the same opinion regarding the entire
program and actions of the Movement - and it has political opponents.
Article 10
The Vojvodina Movement never uses non-argumented qualifications
or disqualifications, but only arguments and explanations, in political
dialogs and political acting in order to reach the aims and when it confronts
its political opponents.
Article 11
It is not individuals, organizations or institutions but
their actions and expressed intentions, that are subject to ethical judgement
of the Vojvodina Movement.
Article 12
The Vojvodina Movement shall respect human dignity and privacy
of citizens and political subjects.
Article 13
In relation to the others, the Vojvodina Movement shall
not allow themselves to behave inappropriately. It does not expect others
to behave in such a way in relation to the Vojvodina Movement.
Article 14
The individual strength of the Vojvodina Movement members
comes from their independence, persistence and responsibility in implementation
of joint programmes, actions and decisions.
Article 15
Equality of the Vojvodina Movement members is inviolable.
Article 16
It is a right of each individual and party member of the
Vojvodina Movement to change ones opinion, but it is also a common right
of all the members to be informed on such a change and to discuss it. Article 17
The Vojvodina Movement considers human liberty to be a responsibility
both for the things done and those that are not done, therefore the choice
to remain silent is also subject to critical moral judgement.
Article 18
Behaviour of the Vojvodina Movement members which is opposite
to the above stated Code shall be judged by the Court of Honour. Judgements,
opinions and decisions of the Court of Honour are public. |
